I have closed out my old year and have made entries into 2013. Now I'm trying to switch over to new 2013 version and it's telling me I need to close out my year. I don't want to close my year, I just finished making accountants adjusting entries for old year and have closed out that year and already made 5months of entries. What do I do now?

    Hi Bob,
If you look at the top, does it say that your 2013 file is in Mergeable Mode? If yes, open up your 2012 year and verify that it is in Pending Mode. If that is the case then you ran a temporary year-end on the 2012 file, leaving it open for adjustment and creating a 2013 year so that you could continue with your entries. This means that technically, the year-end is still outstanding and needs to be finalized. If you go into your 2013 year and run through that year-end wizard once more it will finalize the 2012 year end and change your 2012 file from Pending to Final mode and your 2013 year from Mergeable to Normal mode. Once your 2013 year is in Normal mode, you may complete the conversion of your file into the new 2013 version of our software.
