I am looking to add a bank account from in October 2023 but when I go to either the set up menu (opening balance cannot be pressed). I then tried open the account from the Chart of Accounts which I was able to create a new account in the correct category but it doesn't have the Opening Balance button on the right hand side.
Would someone be able to help with how I got and add an opening balance. Thank you

Hi Jocelyne! You can only use the Opening Balance button when the file is in the fiscal fiscal year. Outside of that, you need to do a transaction (ex deposit) or general journal entry to adjust the balance.
