Can I still add a new capital asset to a parent asset? I found how to split a capital asset but don't see the option to add the new asset to a parent. Purchased a grain bin last year which we will contract to move this year. Accountant says that the bin moving cost is supposed to be added to the price paid for the bin and considered part of the asset.

    Hi Brent, There is no more Child/Parent or "Merge" ability within the software. You will need to add a new capital asset for the bin moving cost. Once that is done, you may want to consider putting the same TAG on both the Bin and the Moving Cost so that those two items can be grouped together when looking at reports.
