Hi Richard!
You likely have a dividing date on your file that needs to be dealt with. If you look at the bottom of your screen, in the blue bar, it probably says "Client's Copy Dividing date.......".
To remove this, go to File > Undo Accountants Copy. This will remove all restrictions so that you can add your next fiscal year.
