Hi Jody, Starting from fresh is definitely an option but there are some things you may want to consider. For T4's, if the 4 month break, happened in the middle of a calendar year, then you will end up having to issue 2 T4's for them. Also for Records of Employment, you may need to generate 2 reports for the employee to get all of the information required to fill in that document for them if/when they leave again. Given the timing of your question, I'm guessing the T4 thing isn't going to be an issue, but when considering the ROE, with the information I have, I'd set the employee back to Active status and carry on with the original employee profile. All of that said, as long as you're aware of the reporting side of things, choose whichever option you feel is suitable, you can't make a mistake.
