I'm just new to this program. I started it last fall and then never ended up using it. Now we are already into the next fiscal year but it won't let me enter my opening balances because the previous year hasn't been set up. How do I delete the previous fiscal year that is empty.

I replied to the email you had sent to us yesterday evening, and I wanted to share that reply for anyone else that has this question!
Due to the nature of accounting systems, we can't delete a fiscal year.
However, in your case, since you didn't do any work in that 2019-2020 year, you will still go back and add your opening balances to that year. Those balances will carry into 2020-2021 as opening for you - you just won't have any actual data entry in the prior year. You can use the 2020-2021 balances; this will not be an issue. Once you are all balanced, switch back to 2020-2021 to begin your actual data entry for the year.
