I'm having trouble saving/backing up to a memory stick. It saves as a non-ag expert file. Any suggestions?

    Hi Kent!

The file that gets saved to your memory stick is a file with the extension .agexbackup. This is a compressed and encrypted file that is used for storage purposes only. If this file is located on your memory stick, then your backup has been done successfully.

If, in the future, you needed this backup to put on a new computer, then from within AgExpert, you would go to File > Restore, and run that process to decompress and de-encrypt the file, and make it a readable file for the software.

As it stands, though, a backup file is not able to be opened directly by AgExpert. This is by design.

    I hope this helps!
