I have been using AE for a year now, and in feb I was reconciling my bank accounts for the months of Nov and Dec. I had them all balanced and made the report, but noticed (too late) that the report was dated for 2014 and not 2013. Is this a big deal?

This will not affect future bank recs. It is more a pain in the behind as you have to remember that those two particular bank recs have an incorrect ending date on them and if you are printing them for your accountant or sending them by email, you have to remember to note that they have the incorrect date, but that the bank rec is correct. I'm not sure about this, but I think the 2014-02 version leaves that date blank when you go in to the bank rec, forcing you to make an entry to continue, whereas I have the idea that one of the earlier versions was automatically inserting the year end date every time you went in to the bank rec screen making it an easy step to skip over and not notice that it was the wrong date.
