I bought combine parts in the US and paid GST and PST to CBSA at the border. How do I enter these as they were 2 separate transactions. You can't enter amounts into GST without an amount for purchase.

HI Marilyn, In order to enter a GST only transaction, enter a withdrawal for the required amount and then offset that with an A+ line to your account named GST Paid. For the PST you will do the same, but with an A+ line to PST Paid instead. Then, because the PST isn't claimed, you'll need to do a Full Edit on your combine parts purchase and bump up the line where you posted the cost of the parts by the amount of the PST. Then in order to make that transaction balance, enter an additional line as A- to the PST Paid account for the amount of the PST.

The net effect will be that you should have increased your GST Paid account by the amount of the GST, increased the cost of the combine parts by the amount of the PST, and since there was an A+ and an A- line for the amount of the PST, the PST Account balance should remain unchanged.
