Hello Carolyn, Which way are you wanting to setup your Visa Payable? As an Accounts Payable or as a Credit Card in your setup of books. All depending on how you want to set it up.
If you want to set it up as an Accounts Payable, you would enter a Payable Transaction for the amount outstanding and expense it out to the the correct accounts using a date that falls within the previous fiscal year.
If you want to set it up as a Credit card this would be entered as an opening balance.
