    Hi Marbillfarms!
When that message comes up, click yes and then it will give you an option to print a report showing the transactions involved.  Typically we only worry about this if the transactions showing on the report occur on the bank account that we reconcile regularly.
Credit cards, savings accounts, investment accounts and cash accounts may all be set up as bank accounts in the program but most people only reconcile their main operating account on a monthly basis.  This means that all those other accounts build up transactions in the reconciliation screen that become stale dated.  If the transactions involved are on these other accounts then you may continue through the year-end without worrying about an adverse affect on our bank reconciliation in the new year.
If the transactions are showing on your main account then you will want to reconcile and clear those items.  The only transactions un-checked at the end of a reconciliation period should be those that we expect to clear in the near future, we don't carry old unreconciled items forward as then our bank is not truly balanced.
