How do I get the chart of accounts and opening balances from 2012 to the 2013 files?
Hi Mary, assuming you are using the 2013-01 version of AgExpert Analyst and have converted your file to the new version, click on the Setup menu and then Fiscal Years. Click on the Add Fiscal Year button and select Yes when prompted. This will create your new year, and your ending balances will carry forward as opening balances. This will also transfer all of your chart of accounts to the new year. If you have not converted your data file to the new version, I recommend doing so by first installing the latest update (you should have received a DVD labelled 2013-02). Once this is done, open the 2013-01 version of AgExpert Analyst (there will be a new icon on your desktop) and click on Convert Data File...Select browse and select your latest data file. Press convert. Afterwards, close the window, click on Open Data File and open your recently converted file.
