Hello I hope everyone is having a nice day! I am fairly new to reconciliation, I can see that I have entered each transaction from my statement, and still the amount of the difference is showing quite large. I have nothing left to account for is on my statement. I am unable to reconcile since it is not at a zero balance, and I do not want to enter income that didn't exist to be able to bring it to zero. Have people come across this before? Thank you very much !
Hi Josee! If all of your transactions are accounted for then it's going to be one of two things. 1. Double check that the amount typed into the Bank Statement Balance field in the top right of the screen matches the ending balance on your bank statement. 2. Double check that the opening balance for the month matches the starting balance on your bank statement.
If both are correct, and all your transactions are there then you should be showing a variance of $0.00 and be able to record the reconciliation.
