Good morning, I processed my latest HST report, chose the end date (Apr 30/16) confirmed that the last date filed was 1/31/16, hit "process", and received my HST paid amount. When I go to "Reports" - it shows the last report created is 2/1/16 to 12/30/16; when I hit "view page" it shows all my HST credits for the period of 01/31/16 to 04/30/16, but it is titled (and listed under Reports) as "HST Report 2/1/2016 - 12/30/16". Why? I'm worried that I will not be able to process HST reports from May to December 2016 now, as it looks like it's calculated to the end of December, 2016.

Good morning, sorry for the delay getting back to you on this one. Somehow between when you chose April 30/16 and when you clicked on the record button the date must have flipped to December 30th. The date is something that has to be set by the user so I'm not at all clear how that may have happened. There is no way to reverse an HST return without going to an old backup and that may mean that you lose data so it's not the best solution.
With the HST return, as you know, it's the ending date that you set and the program simply looks for any unremitted items that occur prior to that date and pulls them into the report. So once you're entered all the transactions for 2nd, 3rd or 4th quarters, (and this will look a bit weird when going back to reports by date, but all the Dollars will line up properly and that's what matters in the end), what you'll need to use for end dates is as follows:
    1st Quarter 02/01/16 - 04/30/16 used end date December 30th - DONE
2nd Quarter 05/01/16 - 07/31/16 will need to use December 31st as it's end date
3rd Quarter 08/01/16 - 10/31/16 will need to use January 1st as it's end date
4th Quarter 11/01/16 - 01/31/17 will be able to then use January 31st as it's end date and you'll be back in sync on your dates.
