2012 was my first year with Ag Expert. I did my year end and it has given me a new blank version for 2013. The problem is that I loaded 2013 a few weeks ago and want to start the new year transactions on it but it has all my 2012 numbers on it. I don't know why and don't want to use the 2012 version when the 2013 version should be the one I use. Any ideas what's happened?

Hi Neil! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. It finally feels like spring has sprung here. The new 2013 version uses what I'm calling a perpetual database. This means that as long as you have clicked on the setup menu, gone to Fiscal Years and clicked on the Add Fiscal Year button, you're good to go. You should expect to see all of your 2012 transactions and information as the 2013 year will just continue from there. Try opening up the 2013 version with the file that has all of your 2012 numbers and then posting a transaction dated inside your 2013 fiscal year. If you can do that, then you've done everything right. If you're still unsure, you can call in to support or review the information in our Knowledge Base about the new 2013 version.
