What is the purpose of having 2 fields for acres in a record? (ie. one on the general tab and one on the sub tabs) Initially I thought this was so you could record an operation for only a portion of a field. ie. On the general tab your field would show 160 acres and then on the pest tab you could show that you sprayed only 20 acres of that field. However if you do this and then pull an equipment usage report for your sprayer and tractor, the report shows that the equipment was used for 160 acres. If anyone can shed light on when you might use different acres on general vs sub tabs I would appreciate it.

To answer your question, this allows users to have multiple inputs (seeds, fertilizer, pesticides etc...) recorded for one or more fields in a single operation. An example of when you would utilize this is if you were to plant two different variety of seeds on the same field.
