Is it possible to use FM pro on 2 or more computers at the same time with the same data file? or be able to sync them at the end of each day? Would the computers have to be on the same home network or could they be connected over the internet?

You can definitely have Field Manager PRO installed on 2 computers, we don't have an issue with that from a technical standpoint.
However, it is important to understand that at this point in time, Field Manager PRO is NOT multi-user. So, you can network 2 computers with a shared drive, store the data on that system, and have both computers able to access the data. Or, house the data on a cloud server, making sure both systems have access to the same cloud. But, only one user can ever be accessing the file at any given time - 2 users cannot update the file at the exact same time.
This is something we are looking at right now, and are starting to build, but right now, only single-user accessibility is allowed.
