Hi, I have a question about the transplant function. If I set up an area unit as a called a 'tray' and say it's two square feet to relate it to something, then when I try to enter that as an operation in the field it would look as though you can fit 22000 trays in an acre using a two foot row spacing for example. And if I were to do it the opposite way and say that one acre will take 200 trays, then it will look like my greenhouses are the same size as the fields in which I am transplanting. How do I go about making a two square foot tray take up the roughly 200 square feet it does when transplanted in a field?

    Hello Brad,

In this instance, we recommend that you track everything in acres as this is more pertinent for your operations once product has been transplanted (for spraying, fertilizing etc).

To simplify this answer, you would need to create a measurement unit “Tray 200 cell” (200 plants in a tray). (See screenshot 1 below) To achieve this, the measurement unit must be configured as follows and it has no bearing what we equate it to… in this example, Create 200 CELL TRAY and equated it to 1 bushel.

Add it to the “seed” input, by crop they will have to select “200CT”, (See screenshot 2 below).

Once the TRAYS are to be transplanted they can either enter the “total” amount of trays transplanted in the field which will calculate the # of trays per acre, or they can do the reverse by entering # of trays/acre and will give them “total” planted in the entire field.

Finally, in operation entry they will only have to select the “seed” and enter 200 CT/acre or 200CT/total. From either of these options they will have total trays planted by field (planting). I would disregard row spacing as
this complicates things. (See screenshot 3 below)
