Disqus Agexpert Accounting Questions Archive

Working on my 2014 books and using 2014-2 edition of agexpert!
The only problem is that accounts got mixed up during my entry and trying to reverse the transactions made it worse!
Is there not just an easy way of just deleting the entries and starting back from where things went wrong?

    Hi Todd,

The reason that entries cannot be "deleted" is simply because the software provides a full audit trail. What I can recommend however, is to go to your Setup menu and Preferences and select Hide for Reversed Transactions. This will hide your reversals. Another great tool to use is the save snapshot feature found under the File menu. This lets you take a snapshot of a moment in time so that you can test an entry out. The idea is to save a snapshot, enter the transaction and if the entry does not work out for any reason, you can revert to that moment in time by going to File > Revert to Snapshot. This saves the time it would have taken to restore a backup copy. I hope this helps!
