You can do that whenever you're ready to. It won't close 2018. When it's time to do the adjustments, just go back into the fiscal years window and set the drop down menu for Current Fiscal Year back to 2018, enter the adjustments and then set it back to 2019. That way you don't have to get behind while you wait on the accountant.
