What is the proper code to setup 'prepared feed' under, ie. creep feed, protein supplements etc.? Is there a cheat sheet anywhere that gives a full listing?
Hi Belinda, That would be an expense and will fit in your chart of accounts best as part of your Livestock Expenses section. Click on Setup > Chart of Accounts > Choose the Expenses tab and then scroll down until you see your section that starts with LIVESTOCK EXPENSES (your header account may or may not be in all caps). That's the start of the section and it should end with an account called TOTAL LIVESTOCK EXPENSES (again, may not be in all caps). Anywhere in there where you can insert an account number is fine, though you may find it best to fit it into the sequence around the same place that other feed expenses are showing.
We don't have examples for everything, but if you click on the File Menu and choose Open AgExpert Sample, you can look at our example chart of accounts. We have most of the standard things in there and if you don't see exactly what you're looking for, there will likely be something similar that you can use as an example.
