On the transaction entry window I am trying to enter a capital asset sale (C-), however I do not have an asset to select in the class. When setting up AgExpert many years ago I added up the "older" assets into one total per class. All new assets from that point on are entered separately and show on the asset report. Is there a way to enter this asset sale without selecting the asset from the list? I'm using version 2016-03.
You 'll need to split that lump sum asset so that the item you want is it's own thing in your capital asset list. In Setup > Capital Assets, click on the asset that you need to break apart a bit and click on the Split button. This will allow you to split out the portion of the sum that belongs to the asset you're trying to sell and leave the remainder in that lump sum asset you created originally. Once the item you're trying to sell is it's own thing in the list, you can then proceed with your C- line.
