My Son and I both do the financial record keeping for our corporation through AgExpert Analyst and we use the same computer in his house. Could the program be on two computers, one in his house and one in mine, if we used AgExpert Accounting instead and saved files on the icloud? Could we then make entries at our two homes?

    Good afternoon Dianne!

You have a couple of options to think about on your end!

If you remain on the desktop version, you can absolutely have the software installed on 2 computers. If you setup a shared drive, such as Google Drive, or iCloud, you can store the data so that both of you can access the information. The caveat on this is that only one of you can access it at any given time. If one of you is in the file, and the other tries to access it, you will receive an error message that says the file is currently inaccessible. Also, I have seen synchronization issues happen with this type of setup, especially when power or internet outages happen.

Your other option is to look at our cloud version, AgExpert Accounting. Your situation is really what the cloud version was made for. We could migrate your desktop data into the cloud, and then share with your son. Both of you would then have full access to the information, at the same time, with no restrictions.

It is definitely doable either way. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions about either method.

    Thanks!
