Is there no way to have subtotals? It looks to me like the chart of accounts has total crop expense, labour expense, etc., but no overall total expense line at the end. My previous program allowed subtotals. I'm specifically interested in having a subtotal in the equity section. I have 2 business partners, so I have CNE contributions and CNE withdrawals, then I would like to have a NET CNE line. It would be nice to be able to do this and still have a total equity line at the bottom. Can it be set up this way?
You can delineate sections inside the chart of accounts. Each section is indicated by a Header account to open the section (4000-00 GRAIN SALES), then the postable accounts (Detail accounts are stand-alone accounts and Primary Accounts have Sub-Accounts underneath them. A Detail or Sub Account reports it's own balance while the Primary account reports a sum of all the Sub Accounts underneath it). Finally the section is closed by a Total Account (4099-00 TOTAL GRAIN SALES) which calculates a sum of all of the accounts in it's section, the ones between it and the header account that preceded it. In this instance, 4099 would report a sum of accounts 4001 through to 4098.
