Is there any reason not to convert older data bases older than 2010 to the latest version of AgExpert? For some reason I recall that we were unable to convert anything older than 2010 to the new version.

Hi Cheryl, It's not a specific year or version that draws "the line" on conversion. We recommend that users moving from the old .aga version of Analyst to the current .agex, only convert their current year. The reason for this is that converted files lose their historical information so that running a 5 year comparison report on the converted file becomes impossible. That is the main reason, but I also feel that from a process perspective it's really good to have a visible break between files on which a year-end was run and our single perpetual database file.
